Our Story

As a young child I remember visiting my Great-Grandmother during the summer school break.  Each year she would pull from her cellar items she had hand picked from her garden and canned for storage.  I was amazed at how fresh things tasted and even more amazed that they didn’t require refrigeration.

Each year Great-Grandma would show all the grandkids how to can and preserve, as she had been taught by her mother and her mother before her.  A tradition that had been handed down for many generations.

To ensure I didn’t lose interest in canning, both my grandma and mom would add canning to my to-do list on my visits.  Looking back, it was time well spent and memories that will last a lifetime.

Fast forward to 2020 with the outbreak of COVID-19 and all the uncertainty it brought.  We were fortunate to have had some canned items in our basement.  However, we were concerned about not knowing how long the pandemic would last and whether we would have enough food.

We decided to take our food canning to a whole new level and started freeze-drying various food items to help supplement our food storage.   We were amazed at the results.  The items looked as if they had just been picked from the garden but required no refrigeration.  The fruits and vegetables could be eaten as crispy snacks or reconstituted and used in your favorite dish.

Through all our own personal experiences, we are happy to now provide these food items to the public for their personal food storage and enjoyment.

We make all our items in small batches from our home base in Cumming, Georgia. We hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoy making them for our family and friends.

Thank you, Great-Grandma, Grandma and Mom, for the love, knowledge and support!
